At the Oct. 6 Administration Committee meeting, the City Council reappointed multiple members to boards and commissions and confirmed one appointment to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
The council reappointed 17 members to the Beautification Committee for two‑year terms (list read into the record), reappointed members to the Senior Affairs Commission and Cultural District Commission, and reappointed Donna Bailey to the Police Citizens Review Board for a two‑year term.
The council also appointed Robert DeRubio as an alternate member of the Planning and Zoning Commission for a five‑year term. Councilors said they appreciated the volunteers’ continued service and noted the committees generally work well together.
All nominations were seconded and approved by voice vote at the administration committee meeting and carried on final vote in the council chamber; copies of the appointment lists are filed with the city clerk’s office.
