The Bangor City Finance Committee on Oct. 6 recommended that staff proceed with purchasing a parking tractor for the airport from the low bidder, United AG and Turf.
Committee chair Hansa Fish said the airport received two bids for the tractor, with the low bid reported within a range near $34,000 and the high bid near $57,000. The committee noted the tractor was budgeted at $40,000 for fiscal year 2026 and staff requested approval to accept the low bid. A motion to recommend approval was moved and seconded and the committee proceeded without recorded objection.
The discussion focused on the procurement result and budget alignment. Finance Director Stephanie Dimock presented the item and confirmed the budgeted amount and the staff recommendation. No further conditions or contingencies were recorded on the recommendation.
The committee’s recommendation will proceed as the finance committee’s advisory action to the full council or appropriate approving authority.
