The council approved several capital and maintenance items including a grading contract at Aspen Park, construction-administration services for a lift station project and the purchase of patrol vehicles.
Parks staff reported they solicited informal quotes for grading and cleanup work at Aspen Park (stockpiled dirt, detention ponds and a raised elevation on one side). Four quotes were received; Sukup Construction submitted the lowest quote. Staff recommended approving a contract with Sukup not to exceed $99,000 so the work can begin while staying within the remaining budget line for the project.
The council also authorized DGR to provide construction-administration services for the Pioneer Lift Station project; staff noted construction is already underway and the notice to proceed has been issued to the contractor, so the DGR oversight contract will cover construction administration.
Public Safety staff presented quotes to purchase two 2026 Ford pursuit vehicles through the state bid: one Interceptor SUV and one F-150 pursuit-rated responder. The items were budgeted in the 2026 budget at $104,000; the two vehicles were estimated to come in at about $97,050 and the council approved the purchase by motion and voice vote.
Other approved routine items at the meeting included setting alley-maintenance fees for alleys in Tallgrass Village and approving PTO benefits continuation for transit employees through ROCS, both approved by council motion.
