Council approves KwikStar, Casey’s liquor-license transfers and Wild Prairie special-event permit

City staff said KwikStar (Quick Trip Incorporated) won the city’s bid for the off-sale liquor license originally associated with the golf course; the council approved transferring that off-sale license from the city to KwikTrip/QuickStar by motion and voice vote.
Separately, Casey’s requested to transfer its off-sale liquor license from 101 W. Holly Boulevard to a new location at 2425 E. Aspen Boulevard; the council approved that transfer. Council members also approved an application for a retail off-sale wine and cider license for Casey’s at the 101 W. Holly location to permit sale of wine and cider there once the liquor license move is complete.
The council also approved a special-event alcohol beverage license for Wild Prairie to serve wine at the Winner Farmer Market hosted at Faith United Church (800 N. Split Rock Boulevard) on three dates; staff said Wild Prairie has done the activity in prior years.
Each item was approved by motion and voice vote; no public opposition was recorded on the record.
