Miss Fong, a county staff presenter, told commissioners the owners of a previously unused single‑wide mobile home have reconnected power and plan to occupy the home, and that the driveway will serve four residences, which “does invoke the ordinance regulating addresses and road naming within the county.” She said the property owners have chosen the name Thomas Place and that the name “does meet all local and state requirements.”
After the public hearing was opened and closed without additional testimony, a commissioner moved to approve the roadway name. The board unanimously approved the motion; the clerk recorded the result with the customary voice vote.
The change will add Thomas Place to the county’s E‑911 database used by dispatchers. Miss Fong noted citizens who signed up to speak on the item will retain the opportunity to speak at future related hearings if needed.
