Commission approves nominees for five local workforce development boards

The Texas Workforce Commission on May 20 approved nominees to serve on five local workforce development boards, staff said.

Cara Levy of the Workforce Development Division presented the slate of nominees for Workforce Solutions Borderplex, Deep East Texas, Tarrant County, Northeast Texas and West Central Texas and recommended approval. Commissioners had no substantive questions, and a motion to approve the presented nominees was made, seconded and approved.

Levy said she was available to answer questions; none were raised during the discussion.

The approval was recorded on the meeting record as an affirmative vote by the commission.
