Appointment subcommittee approves multiple reappointments and appointments; items forwarded to full council

The Revere City appointment subcommittee on Oct. 6 voted to approve a slate of reappointments and appointments and forwarded those nominations to the full City Council for final action.

The reappointments and appointments approved by the subcommittee included Peggy Pratt to the Zoning Board of Appeals; Karoo Pipp to the Human Rights Commission; Viviana Catano to the Board of Health; Britney DiVella and Lauren Davila as city constables; and Aneo Osweiki to the Affordable Housing Trust Fund board. Chairwoman McKenna called each item and the subcommittee took unanimous favorable votes for each nomination.

Britney DiVella said she has served as a constable for about nine years and will continue to serve civil-process functions. Lauren Davila told the committee she has served as a constable for roughly 26 years. Aneo Osweiki (listed on the agenda; he identified himself as Anayo Suiki) said he has been on the Affordable Housing Trust Fund board “a little over two years” and serves as treasurer, assisting with accounting and fundraising subcommittees.
