County staff told supervisors Oct. 2 that the Flood Control District will ask the board to approve a contract with Rumble Construction to build the Bella Vista Detention Basin, a stormwater detention and groundwater recharge project on land held under an environmental easement near Charleston Road outside Sierra Vista.
Staff said the project has been studied since 2015 and that construction would be entirely grant-funded. Jackie, who will present the item at the regular meeting, was at a conference on Oct. 2, staff said. The agenda materials attached to the regular meeting will include the full contract and grant documents.
No formal vote occurred at the work session; staff indicated the contract is an action item on the next regular meeting agenda.
