Clayton County Board introduces new operator for Convocation Center: Wright Production Inc.

The Clayton County Board of Education introduced Shahida Massey and representatives of Wright Production Inc. on Thursday as the organization awarded the contract to operate the county’s Convocation Center.
The superintendent told the board that Massey founded Wright Production Inc. in 1996 and has managed Detroit’s Aretha Franklin Amphitheater since 2004. District remarks highlighted Massey’s experience producing major concerts and large-scale events and noted her company’s experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets and partnerships.
Massey and family members who work with the company were present at the board meeting and were invited to stand and be recognized. District remarks said the operator will now run the facility as the Clayton County Convocation Center operator.
