Board member Hannaford moved to approve the minutes of the Aug. 27 special meeting; Board member Slater seconded. The board recorded affirmative votes from Hannaford, Slater, Holder and Klein and the motion carried.
The treasurer reported a bank balance of $127,009.27 at DreamFirst Bank and said the entity carries approximately $34,000,000 in outstanding debt. Board member Slater moved to accept the treasurer’s report; Board member Hannaford seconded. The board recorded affirmative votes from Slater, Hannaford, Klein, Glass and Holder and the motion carried.
The board moved into an executive session after a motion and second; multiple members voted in favor. When the public meeting resumed, board members said there was no action on letters discussed during the executive session.
On a separate motion, the board authorized a contract with Jana Walker, CPA, to provide fiscal-year accounting services. The motion was made by Holder and seconded by Hannaford; the board recorded affirmative votes from Holder, Hannaford, Glass and Cline and approved the contract.
