Huachuca City plans ‘Creepy Candy Crawl’ Oct. 31 and a town Thanksgiving meal

Huachuca City officials announced a free Creepy Candy Crawl on Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the community center and a new haunted-house walk-through at the activity center next to town hall.
Stephanie Fulton, Huachuca City director of library and community services, said organizers will provide indoor and outdoor vendor spaces, encourage decorated tables and trunks and award prizes for first, second and third place. The city added a shuttle to carry families from the haunted-house site down to the creepy candy crawl.
Fulton said the creepy-candy event is free and that vendors and community groups are invited to sign up at the Huachuca City Library or by calling (520) 456-1063. The city’s finance director, Elizabeth Villas, described the haunted-house addition as a new family offering intended to complement the candy-crawl activities.
The city also announced its annual town Thanksgiving free meal on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, held at the Lions Club and open to all residents. Officials said the meal normally runs from noon until 2 p.m. or until food runs out.
Huachuca City officials announced a library job opening and invited residents to apply in person at the library for the posted position.
