City staff and the Lake Forest Chamber on Oct. 7 presented a recap of the Taste of Lake Forest event held Aug. 15, 2025, at Heritage Hill Historical Park and recognized participating restaurants, volunteers and event sponsors.
Adrian Garhaba, the city’s housing and economic development manager, said the event featured 25 restaurants, a beer-and-wine garden and live music; more than 600 tickets were sold. Staff reported follow-up surveys showing high satisfaction among participating restaurants and attendees, with restaurants that completed surveys indicating they would return.
Awards announced that night included Best New Entry: Sunny Dumpling House (representatives unable to attend); third place: Urban Grill and Wine Bar; second place: A Little Something Sweet (representatives not present); and first place: Borden Brew.
Garhaba thanked sponsors and partners including the Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce, third district Supervisor Don Wagner’s office, OC Parks and the OC Health Care Agency for permitting assistance. The city recognized over 20 CERT volunteers, 30 Chamber volunteers and 15 city personnel who supported the event, and staff played a short recap video for the council and audience.
Council members and Chamber representatives congratulated winners and volunteers. No council action was required; the item was a presentation and recognition.
