Onslow County Public Library to hold Renaissance Faire Oct. 11 at Main Branch

Tori Parks of the Onslow County Public Library said the library will host a free Renaissance Faire on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Main Branch, 58 East Doris Avenue, near Jacksonville High School.
Parks said the event will recreate a Renaissance atmosphere with knights, artisans and period crafts such as candle‑dipping, leather working, blacksmithing, book binding and calligraphy. Jacksonville Performing Arts will stage performances, and Possum Wood Acres will bring live animals.
The library will provide a shuttle from the Ollie’s parking area throughout the day. Parks encouraged attendees to dress in period costume; admission is free. The library will post event details and a dedicated Facebook event page with updates and photos.
