Laguna Beach animal shelter unveils first zero‑emission vehicle; mayor to review leadership transition

Runagi said the city’s commission on electric fleet electrification reported that electric vehicles will reduce fuel and repair costs over time and that the shelter’s new vehicle reflects a long‑term efficiency and environmental stewardship goal. Runagi also noted the shelter partners with Laguna Woods and that the city aims to maintain high levels of care for animals and to make appropriate budgetary and organizational decisions.
