The district said the series will replace the principal meeting in October so principals will not be pulled out of school more than once that month. The training is designed to teach school leaders how to use common formative assessments (CFAs), observational data and data reviews that can be monitored through classroom walk-throughs and assessment tracking; the district said those tools will be used to measure longer-term effects on classroom practice and school performance scores.
Board member Powell Lewis moved the item and Board member Martin seconded; the electronic vote passed and the motion carried.
