A LeanFrog representative described a new set of data dashboards the company built for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, saying the product consolidates facility facts, enrollment, staffing, funding sources and academic performance into school-level and district-level views.
The presenter said 11 school-level dashboards are complete and provide granular breakdowns (regular education, special education, gender and other subgroups), and seven district-level dashboards include comparatives to peer districts in Louisiana and the Southeast. LeanFrog said it attempted to include historical data where available—up to 15 years in some fields—and supplied a data dictionary linking fields to source URLs and update timing.
The contractor described planned next steps: training for board members at the November board retreat, procedures and documentation for IT staff to update dashboards annually, and a public posting to the EBR website for community access. "We also have a complete data dictionary that lists each field...it gives a URL connection to where to go grab the data...and it tells you the timing of when the data should be pulled in," the presenter said.
Board members thanked the presenter for consolidating fragmented data and for the potential to use the dashboards in facilities master planning and tax-plan discussions. One board member asked about the timeline for posting and updates; the contractor said posting and full IT handoff could be completed in roughly 30–45 days depending on IT scheduling.
Ending: Board members endorsed the training plan; no action was taken. The administration said it will coordinate training at the November retreat and work with IT to establish an annual update process.
