The City of Venice Planning Commission on Oct. 7 voted 7-0 to recommend City Council approve annexation of about 5 acres at 2805 Curry Lane, a comprehensive plan map amendment to assign the site an Institutional/Professional future land use, and a zoning map amendment to the City's Office Professional Institutional (OPI) district to allow development of a medical office building.
Nicole Tremblay, senior planner for the City of Venice, told the commission the parcel is in Joint Planning Agreement (JPA) Area 6 and that the applicant intends to build a medical-office building similar to other Flagship projects previously presented to the commission.
