At the Oct. 2 meeting the NextGen Advisory Board discussed establishing an ongoing, low-friction way for residents and partner groups to share ideas with the advisory board, such as a short Google form or a city-managed feedback page.
Board members said an accessible feedback channel could help capture input from people less likely to attend meetings or speak during public comment. Members cited examples of groups they hoped to reach, including Littleton Young Professionals and residents with transportation or business ideas. One board member said the form should be simple and distributed through existing contacts rather than relying on people discovering a standalone landing page.
City data governance and process were raised as considerations. A board member recommended routing submissions through city staff rather than hosting an uncontrolled public form to ensure records are retained and privacy and legal requirements are met; a staff member agreed to explore appropriate options with communications staff.
Members proposed a short trial approach — a QR code or short link to a Google form or a city-hosted input page — and to scale up if demand grows. The board agreed to follow up between meetings: staff will explore options within the city’s communications platform and return with a recommended approach and any needed workflow for reviewing incoming submissions.
No formal vote was taken. The board identified outreach and a simple feedback tool as an initial, near-term priority to increase awareness of the NextGen Advisory Board’s work.
