Assistant County Administrator Amanda Tarr described a program of events spanning the county that would include educational efforts, a countywide parade and a synchronized multi-site fireworks finale. Tarr said staff expects to reach hundreds of thousands of residents and visitors and proposed a combined county/Tourism Development Council (TDC) funding structure for the effort.
