Resident asks board to revoke special exception for 3 Oaks Manor; county attorney says court entered non-suit

During the citizen comment period on Oct. 7, Jim Vasquez of the Third District asked the Amherst County Board of Supervisors to revoke a special exception previously granted to Alexis Fisher for 3 Oaks Manor, citing a missing co-owner signature on the application.
"All owners are required to sign the application, and signatures are absent," Vasquez said. He asked the board to acknowledge the procedural omission and move to revoke the special exception under county code.
Later in the meeting, during the county attorney's report, the county attorney told the board that "the non-suit on the Fisher property issue... has been entered by the court. So that case is no longer on the docket." The attorney's announcement indicates the court action has removed the case from active litigation, per the county attorney's statement to the board.
The board did not take formal action on the citizen's request during the meeting. Vasquez also used his public comment time to commend county zoning staff for work since May 2024 and to thank the county rescue squad for assistance after a personal crash.
