Sedgwick County commissioners voted to approve a lease amendment and a one-time transfer of $410,000 to end the county’s lease for the Kellogg tag office and consolidate tag operations at the Douglas site.
County Treasurer Brandy Bailey, who presented the plan, said consolidating the Kellogg office into the Douglas location will allow the treasurer’s staff to concentrate resources at one central office while expanding satellite locations and partnerships with auto dealers to handle title work. “Consolidating the Kellogg tag office will also save the county over $350,000 per year and more than $1,000,000 over the term of the lease that was set to expire in November 2028,” Bailey said.
