The William Penn School District policy committee conducted a second reading of four policies at its Oct. 2, 2025, policy committee meeting: Policy 113.2 (Behavior Support), Policy 202 (Eligibility of Nonresident Students), Policy 237 (Electronic Devices) and Policy 254 (Educational Opportunities for Military Children). Harris, a district staff member, summarized the changes presented during a prior first reading and passed at the most recent business meeting.
Harris said the revisions to Policy 113.2, 202, 237 and 254 include required updates and language clarifications intended to maintain consistency with administrative decisions and the district’s student code of conduct. He said revisions to the electronic-device policy were aligned with the code of conduct, and that Policy 254 was amended to further define and clarify educational opportunities for military children.
Committee members did not record any formal votes on these items during the committee meeting; the policies were under second reading and follow the district’s policy-adoption timeline. The committee adjourned and scheduled its next meeting for Nov. 6, 2025.
