Public comment on the Central Embarcadero safety project was heard from a bicycle‑taxi (pedicab) operator who supported the project for safety reasons but requested wider gaps in new concrete barriers so pedicabs and other non‑motorized vehicles could enter and exit the protected bike lane and to consider circulation from Broadway to Pier 39 and Oracle Park. Port staff said they would forward the public comment to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, which leads the design and funding for the Embarcadero safety work.
