The Prince George's County Council’s Committee of the Whole on Sept. 7 moved favorably CB 90-2025, approving terms of a two-year collective bargaining agreement between Prince George's County and the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge 112, and also moved favorably companion resolution CR 108-2025 to amend the county salary plan to reflect the agreement.
Council staff (Miss Eubanks) told the committee that the negotiated agreement covers wages and other terms and conditions of employment for classifications certified by the county employee relations board and that the two-year contract covers fiscal years 2025 and 2026. The companion resolution (CR 108-2025) contains the associated salary schedule (Schedule W) needed to implement the agreement.
Councilmember Watson moved a favorable recommendation on CB 90 and Councilmember Fisher seconded the motion. The clerk called the roll and the committee recorded 10 ayes; the motion carried. The companion resolution CR 108-2025 was moved favorably by the same motion pattern and passed the committee 10-0.
The committee’s favorable recommendation sends both the ordinance and the salary-resolution companion to the next stage of the council’s legislative process for final consideration and any required implementation steps by the Office of Human Resource Management.
