Under the changes the board approved, down-payment maximum awards will be adjusted upward: the very‑low income category is proposed to move from $25,000 to $30,000; the low‑income category from $20,000 to $25,000; and the moderate category from $15,000 to $20,000, as those categories relate to purchase assistance. Staff also presented language removing the cap on the maximum amount of emergency-repair assistance and allowing previous program participants to reapply for assistance.
A commissioner asked for the numeric changes; staff confirmed the revised maxima and removal of the emergency cap. The board adopted the resolution on voice vote; staff will submit the amended plan to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation as required.
