The Board of County Commissioners approved final plans for phase 2 of the Saint Mary’s Cove boat ramp project, which cover design and permitting for a grant-funded restroom building.
Robin of North Florida Professional Services (presenting earlier in the meeting) had returned with revisions to lighting and ventilation after commissioners requested changes. Staff said the revised plans had been submitted to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and that FWC had signed off on the updated design. County and boat-ramp engineers coordinated to ensure the restroom layout would not conflict with the proposed boat-ramp alignment and vehicle turnaround; staff said the engineers had shared reports and had adjusted the plan to allow both projects to proceed.
The board approved the final design and authorized staff to submit the completed package to FWC and proceed toward grant closeout. The action covers design and permitting only; construction will require separate appropriation and contracting.
