County committees accept state funds: Child Advocacy Center grant, early intervention COLA, WIC technology award

Just a little over 200,000 per year, to go towards staffing costs, equipment, and any other items that DA considers that he needs.”
Public Health Director Keith Brown briefed the committee on smaller state awards. He said an early intervention COLA provided $6,034 to offset higher staffing and administrative costs. He also described a $4,139 award over two years for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program to invest in technology to improve benefit delivery and interpretation/translation services: “This will allow us to put that money towards some of the kinda, like, tele translation stuff…and then in rare cases…face to face interpretation.”
Committee members moved and seconded each resolution and reported them to the full Legislature. The committee recorded no opposition in the transcript; each measure moves next to the Legislature floor for final acceptance.
