The board discussed the content of Resolution 4, which merges field-trip protocols under a single policy, and Resolution 5, which clarifies graduation requirements. Director Carlo summarized the two measures during the meeting and said the policy committee had previously reviewed suggested language and accepted administration clarifications to the high school student handbook (parking and lot management) submitted by staff.
Board members did not request further amendment during the second-reading vote. No roll-call tally was read into the record at the time of adoption.
The resolutions will be incorporated into district policy and the updated student handbook materials noted by the policy committee. The board’s policy committee file and the meeting minutes will reflect the adopted language.
Less-critical items discussed later in the meeting included routine committee reports and scheduling of upcoming committee and board meetings; the board adjourned to its next regular session on Nov. 3.
