Dixon Unified board approves revised meeting calendar and Williams report; announces closed‑session special‑education reimbursement

The Dixon Unified School District board on Tuesday approved changes to its 2025–26 meeting calendar to hold more meetings at school sites, accepted a Williams quarterly compliance report that recorded no complaints, and announced a unanimous closed‑session vote to reimburse parents to resolve a threatened special‑education lawsuit.

The board approved the revised calendar, which keeps meeting dates unchanged but changes some meeting locations so meetings are held at individual school campuses to encourage local community participation. The board president said the district will aim to focus portions of the agenda on the host school’s challenges and opportunities; the next scheduled site meeting is Nov. 20 at John Knight Middle School, and the board will return to the chambers on Dec. 11 for its annual governance meeting.
