Councilman Beard moved to approve the consent agenda; Councilman Price seconded. A council member asked staff to note an abstention on consent item 4 (the request was recorded on the public record). The mayor announced the motion carried.
After a midmeeting executive session, the council returned to open session and approved a slate of board reappointments and appointments, including names submitted for the Abilene Housing Authority, the Board of Adjustment and the Library Advisory Board. Councilman Craver moved the appointments; Councilman Price seconded and the motion carried as recorded on the meeting roster.
