ILEA task forces on transportation and facilities report progress; options to be delivered within original timeframe

Staff to the Indianapolis Local Education Alliance gave a brief update ahead of the public comment period that both the transportation and facilities task forces have begun work and will return recommendations within the Alliance’s original timeline.
Mike, an Alliance staff member who provided the update, said the transportation task force has met twice and is carrying out additional data collection requests. The facilities task force has met once and has a second meeting scheduled. Both groups are collecting information to prepare options for Alliance members to consider.
"The transportation task force has met twice and has some additional data collection requests that are ongoing and will be reported back to the group," Mike said. "The facilities task force has met once and has a second meeting scheduled. Both groups will be ready to report out a series of options for the ILEA to consider and choose from, within the original time frame we laid out in the last meeting."
Staff also reminded the public that pre-submitted written comments and emails have been shared with Alliance members and will be posted on the ILEA website.
