Inclusivity council hears working-group progress, plans report deadlines and upcoming trainings

Kaki (accessibility working group) said the accessibility survey's response count had risen to 84 and that the group hopes to reach triple digits before data collection ends. She encouraged members to hand out cards at events to raise responses. The council agreed to aim for rough committee reports by November so members would have three months to assemble final recommendations.
James (economic equity working group) said his group is compiling recommendations on the overnight parking program and is gathering information about rental application fees, portable background checks and electrification and energy-efficiency assistance. He said Santa Fe Housing Trust was cited as an example for energy-efficiency upgrades.
A justice-system working group reported it will survey agencies that interact with the courts and law enforcement about accessibility and staffing diversity; the group plans to compare local practices with other jurisdictions. An LGBTQ working group said printed handouts and an online survey are available but response counts are low so far.
The council discussed recent training logistics. The chair said a presenter (Richard) provided a training recently but it was not recorded; the council plans to invite the New Mexico Transgender Resource Center for a December presentation and will check presenter preferences about recording. Members raised questions about whether inviting external participants would create a quorum or require public posting; staff said they would follow up on process and posting requirements.
Members set a target window for final working-group drafts in late November to early December and said future meetings will focus on reviewing recommendations rather than hosting external presenters. The next meeting will include a scheduled tribal liaison or a representative noted by staff for an upcoming session.
No formal policy votes were taken on working-group recommendations during the meeting.
