During public-board discussion at the Oct. 23 Conroe Industrial Development Corporation meeting, a board member relayed remarks made earlier by the mayor asking elected officials and board members to stop posting misinformation on social media.

The board member said she had received neighbors’ complaints about social-media posts that suggested certain CIDC board members had been involved in the Hyatt hotel project in ways the speaker called inaccurate.
