Alderman Odenberg described Leiboldz’s background as legal and nonprofit-focused and urged committee members to give the nomination “favorable consideration.” A representative from the mayor’s office also spoke in support of the candidate. No committee members raised objections during the Q&A.
The committee’s favorable recommendation sends the appointment to the next step in the city’s confirmation process; no final confirmation vote was recorded during the committee meeting.
