Board approves multiple planning, infrastructure and budget items at Oct. 21 meeting

At its Oct. 21 meeting the Effingham County Board of Commissioners approved a series of planning, infrastructure and administrative items. Below are the key actions taken and essential details.

Shaw Industrial Court — acceptance of infrastructure The board accepted a warranty deed and dedicated road, water and sewer infrastructure in Shaw Industrial Court (Old Augusta Road S.). The county engineer inspected constructed facilities and recommended acceptance; the county attorney reviewed the warranty deed. The county will maintain the accepted infrastructure; developers contributed to an industrial-area resurfacing fund for future work.

Meldrum Flex (Quail Preserve LLC) — site plan approval The commissioners approved a site plan for Meldrum Flex Phase 1 on U.S. Highway 80 (B‑3 zoning). Phase 1 includes two contractor‑office buildings totaling roughly 70,750 square feet, 63 parking spaces (four ADA).
