The Heath Economic Development Corporation scheduled an open work session to review proposals for the Heath Town Center and related Town Center Park improvements.
Board members said they received a set of proposals last week, but at first pass many submissions did not align with prior board discussions. The board asked staff to compile the proposals into a single packet, distribute them to board members, and request written feedback by Oct. 28 so the board can provide consolidated guidance to proposers before the Oct. 30 work session. The board discussed holding the work session Oct. 30 at 9 a.m.
A board member summarized the concern: "I would say that kind of at a high level on first pass, we did not receive back stuff consistent with what a lot of our conversations had been." The board directed staff to post public notice for the open meeting, prepare a proposal packet and gather members’ comments in advance.
Staff said the packet will include all proposals and that compiled comments from board members will be provided to proposers to help refine their responses. The board intends to use the session to give consistent guidance to respondents and consider next steps for refining a preferred site plan and partner selection.
