The Superior Common Council confirmed five reappointments to the Public Arts Commission Tuesday, setting the reappointed members' terms to expire in May 2026.
Mayor Payne explained that the reappointments are intended to align members' terms with the city's cycle for committee appointments at reorganization. "I have several appointments all to the Public Art Commission, and I wanted to clarify, those terms expire in May 2026," the mayor said. The mayor listed the nominees as Heidi Blunt, Lindsey Gresky, Paul Robertson, Carolyn Nelson Kovacs and Molly Gilbertson.
Councilor Johnson moved to confirm all of the appointments, Councilor Ludwig seconded, and the council approved the confirmations by voice vote.
The council did not attach conditions to the appointments; the terms were explicitly set to expire in May 2026 in order to align with the other committee appointment cycles.
