Clear Creek ISD leaders outlined "Discover CCISD — There's a space for you," a districtwide open‑enrollment marketing and recruitment campaign the board heard about on Oct. 13. The campaign includes webinars, campus tour days, targeted advertising, billboards and an application portal that opens Dec. 1.
Miss Polson and Mr. Harden described a three‑phase plan: a learning phase (webinars about district programs), campus tour days at every elementary school in a two‑week window in November, and an application window from Dec. 1 to Jan. 23. Leaders said staff aligned previously disparate timelines for in‑district programs and that the district has about 300 out‑of‑district families on an interest list.
To improve the parent experience, the district selected SchoolMint as its application portal to replace fragmented systems and consolidate in‑district transfers, out‑of‑district requests and program applications into one family login. Mr. Harden said SchoolMint offers multi‑language support, better status tracking for families and consolidated reporting for campuses and the district.
Officials previewed the campaign website (discoverccisd.com), which includes an interactive map of schools, registration for campus tour days and recorded webinars. Marketing materials include school‑specific videos and campus flyers; the district reported 22,000 ad views and about 200 visits to the Discover CCISD website in the initial days after a soft launch.
The timeline officials outlined: current commitments and returning transfers to be confirmed by Jan. 28; in‑district new transfers for grades 6–12 resolved before course selection in February; out‑of‑district notifications by April 10; and a possible reopen of the portal May 15 if space remains.
District leaders asked trustees to support outreach efforts and noted plans to enlist district employees and DEIC ambassadors to help recruit families. The board received the presentation as information; no board action was required.
