New Haven Black and Hispanic Caucus approves donations for community concert and breast-cancer walk

The New Haven Black and Hispanic Caucus voted on Oct. 8 to honor two donation requests: a Tune Summit concert scheduled for Oct. 17 and a community breast-cancer awareness walk scheduled for Oct. 11.

The caucus chair called for a motion; a member made and seconded a motion to approve both requests and the chair announced the motion carried after members responded in the affirmative. No roll-call vote or dollar amounts were recorded in the meeting transcript.

The Tune Summit request, distributed to caucus members as a flyer before the meeting, identifies the event as “Noah and Rynasia presents: Own Your Spotlight” and lists singers, poets, rappers and dancers; the flyer lists the Oct. 17 show time as 7 p.m. and a $5 ticket price.
