Committee members said the change was intended to capture a substantive contractor discussion the minutes had not recorded. "So amend, item number 5 to include the discussion of 4 foot footings and solid concrete walls of appropriate height above grade," a committee member said during the meeting.
The amendment was seconded and the committee voted to add the language to the minutes. The committee then approved the minutes as amended; one member abstained from the original minutes vote because they said they had not attended the Aug. 19 meeting.
The committee did not take further formal action on the construction approach at the meeting; the amendment only changes the meeting record to reflect that the footing and wall construction was discussed.
