USBE replaces APPLE with STAMP for dual-language immersion; testing window now open
Summary
USBE staff announced the STAMP assessment has replaced the APPLE assessment for dual-language immersion students and that testing opened this week. LEAs must add non‑teacher users via Avant Utah helpdesk.
Maureen Rushing, a USBE assessment staff member, said the STAMP assessment has replaced the APPLE assessment for dual-language immersion students and that the testing window opened earlier in the week.
Maureen noted some LEAs experienced delays when adding non‑teacher users to the Avant portal. She instructed district users to request support through the Avant Utah help desk (click the red "Request Support" button) to add users and said the vendor (Avant) will add non‑teacher accounts upon request. She offered to assist LEAs with questions about the STAMP assessment and provided an email contact for follow-up.
LEAs were asked to contact Maureen or the Avant help desk for user‑access issues; slides will be distributed after the meeting.
