Clermont County commissioners approve vendor payments, contracts, grants and bridge load reductions

The Clermont County Board of Commissioners on Oct. 22 approved a slate of fiscal and administrative actions, including payment of $2,811,456.85 in vendor invoices, a 12-month renewal of the county’s inmate food-services contract, a $53,000 community block grant for three public murals, an application for a $302,022 ODOT urban transit grant and load-limit reductions on seven county bridges.

The board voted to approve the invoice report and authorize the county auditor to issue warrants pursuant to Section 319.16 of the Ohio Revised Code. The motion passed on a roll call with all three commissioners voting yes. The audit and payment authorization covered checks dated Oct. 22, 2025, and the board-recorded total was $2,811,456.85.

The board also approved a second renewal and amendment to the contract with Summit Food Services LLC to provide inmate food services for Clermont County adult and juvenile detention facilities. The extension adds a 12-month term beginning Oct. 25, 2025. Captain Ryan of the sheriff’s office presented the item on behalf of the jail. The motion passed on a unanimous roll call vote.
