4 Mile Special Service District board adopts annexation resolution for Harrisville Fields

At a meeting of the 4 Mile Special Service District board, trustees voted to adopt Resolution 25-08, formally annexing the Harrisville Fields subdivision into the district, district staff said.

A district staff member identified only as Jenny told trustees the vote was a follow-up formality to action taken at the Aug. 19 meeting and that the period for receiving public comments or petitions has passed with none filed. “This is a follow-up formality from the action taken at the August 19 meeting,” Jenny said. She added staff recommended approval and that the district would forward the annexation paperwork to the lieutenant governor’s office within the state’s required time frame.

The resolution acts on a petition for annexation “in accordance with Title 17B, Chapter 1, Part 4, Utah Code Annotated (1953), as amended,” the board was told. A trustee asked whether Century Drive is an extension of an existing roadway and staff responded that engineers in Ogden had reviewed the intersection alignment.

Trustees moved and seconded the resolution and conducted a roll-call vote. Trustees Wilson, White, Fawcett, Jackson and Christensen were recorded as voting yes; the chair announced the motion carried. Earlier in the meeting trustees also approved the minutes of the Aug. 19, 2025 meeting.

District staff said this annexation completes the petition process that is currently pending and that future annexation petitions will be brought to the board as they are filed with the city.
