The Buckeye City Council on Oct. 21 approved a professional services agreement authorizing the city manager to sign a contract with SmithGroup to lead the City Hall envisioning, planning and conceptual design work for CIP project 109570. The motion passed unanimously.
James Gray, project manager in the city’s CIP program, presented the scope and schedule and said the contract award to SmithGroup is for $458,000 and the work is expected to run approximately 22 weeks on a fluid schedule that will accommodate council and community workshops. Gray said SmithGroup will provide a vision framework, site analysis, conceptual renderings, cost modeling, and a phased roadmap for future design and construction decisions.
