Temecula planning commission hears city'wide outreach plan for general plan update

Temecula Planning Commission members on Oct. 1 were briefed on the city'wide public outreach program for the general plan update, including a direct-mail campaign, district-level visioning workshops and a scheduled housing workshop on Oct. 7.
Planning staff member Matt said the outreach program will build on prior work and is designed to keep the planning commission engaged throughout the roughly two-year update. "Public participation will be the foundation of the effort," Matt said, describing a campaign that includes an every-door direct mailer, a dedicated website and social media tracking.
