The Laramie County School District #2 Board of Trustees on Oct. 13 approved a set of personnel actions pending certification and background checks and acknowledged recent resignations and retirements.
A motion moved by Julianne and seconded by Kendra approved the following pending hires and assignment changes: Caitlin Buckholtz, substitute nurse; Jim Archer, substitute bus driver; Jillian Chris, substitute bus driver; Kayla Kreiko, substitute bus driver; Chris Cooper, assistant numbers coach for junior high boys wrestling and high school wrestling; and a change in assignment for Heather Becerra from substitute to full-time bus driver.
The board also acknowledged resignations and retirements: Jody Sockerson resigned as a bus driver; Chris Lemaster announced retirement from a speech-language paraprofessional position; and Lisa Horst announced retirement as technology coordinator at the end of the school year. Trustees thanked the departing employees for their service.
The board voted to approve the hires and assignment change by voice vote; the motion included the stipulation that all hires were pending receipt of required certification and successful background checks.
