Sheriff Mark Daniels said on KWCD's First Watch that Cochise County will hold a public town hall meeting about county roads on Nov. 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors' room in Bisbee.
Daniels said the county conducted a resident survey in recent years showing roads and public safety as top concerns and called the town hall an opportunity for residents to tell the Board of Supervisors which roads to prioritize. “This is an opportunity to go, be voiced when it comes to your roads,” he said.
He urged attendance and noted the county manages a mix of maintained and non-maintained roads. Daniels highlighted examples of rural routes that need attention, including roads off Yockey, Cherokee and Mosen, and said supervisors will use public input to prioritize projects.
The sheriff encouraged residents to attend, stressing that county officials “drive the same roads” and that community feedback will inform the county’s work to expand and prioritize road improvement projects.
