At its Oct. 25 meeting, the Civil Rights Council approved the final unmodified text of proposed modifications to the contractor nondiscrimination and compliance regulations and authorized the California Civil Rights Department to file the package with the Office of Administrative Law (OAL). Senior Counsel Suj Lee presented the item and said the subcommittee had not proposed further changes and recommended approval to proceed to filing.
A motion was made to approve the final unmodified text and to authorize department staff to make non-substantive changes required by OAL. The motion was seconded and passed on a roll-call vote: roll call recorded affirmatives including "Will Hough," Council member Cameron Banks, Council member Chan, Council member Glater, and Council member Hong. After the vote the chair announced, "Motion passes."
Senior counsel Lee and staff noted the department may make non-substantive edits if required by OAL during the formal filing process. No remote or in-person public comments were recorded on the item during the meeting.
