Development director: 57 new single-family permits issued; few lots remain in city

Canal Winchester's Development Director Lucas Hare told City Council on Monday that single-family residential construction remains active and the city is running low on available lots.
Hare said the city has issued 57 single-family home permits so far this year and "we only have 18 lots remaining in the city." He added that Green Gate Cove subdivision has five lots remaining. Hare also noted a large schools-related performing-arts project and other items on the planning commission agenda.
The update indicates the city has limited remaining single-family buildable lots and that staff continue to approve new subdivisions and building permits as available land is developed.
