The Robertson County School Board on Oct. 6 approved six board policies on first reading.
Melanie Dickerson presented the policies for first reading. The policies approved were: 1.407 School District Records; 5.11 Compensation Guides and Contracts; 5.119 Employment of Retirees; 5.305 Family and Medical Leave; 5.501 Employment-Related Complaints and Grievances; and 5.701 Substitute Teachers.
Scott Rice moved approval of the first readings; Demetria White seconded. Board members signaled ‘‘Aye’’ and the chair announced the policies were approved on first reading. The board did not record changes to the policy text during the meeting; adoption on second reading or final approval would follow the board’s policy-adoption timeline.
Packets containing the policy language were provided to board members in advance for review, and the policies will return for the board’s next steps as required by district policy.
